Kyle had such a neat birthday this year. He work up early Sunday morning and opted to watch cartoons in our bed until Katie woke up. Then we all went to the kitchen and opened presents before having a pancake breakfast. After church and a nap, his friend Erin came over with her parents and spent a fun filled 3 hours playing in the backyard, living room, and Kyle's room. We had a pirate cake (please don't mock...it was my first attempt) and pirate swords, eye patches, hooks, maps, and hats for all three kiddos - yes, even Katie participated! They buried treasure in the play area outside so I'm sure we'll be finding gold coins outside for months to come. It was such a wonderful day with great company to celebrate another milestone in Kyle's life!
