Kyle's classroom at preschool was always full of different animals for the kids to learn about. Since the kids are now staying home for "school" with Ms. Lindsey, we decided they needed some pets of their own. Katie was quite adamant that she have a pink fish which she aptly named "Pink Fish" and Kyle named his yellow fish Bubbles. Unfortunately, Bubbles didn't make it a full 24 hours before we found him floating at the top of the tank. David swiftly scooped him up and flushed him down the potty with Katie supervising. I couldn't bear to break the news to Kyle after all the funerals we've attended in the past year so we said he jumped down the drain like Nemo to see his family in the ocean. After David offered to buy Kyle another fish he told his daddy, "I don't want another jumping fish!" The next day his daddy bought him a new fish that he named Gulk (don't ask - I have no idea). Gulk managed to last three weeks and has gone MIA - another jumping fish it seems or another victim of the infamous Pink Fish. Gulk's replacement should be arriving this afternoon...Hopefully Kyle's luck with fish will turn around!
