We attended our church's Christmas Eve service and then Johno came over for dinner with our neighbors Casey, Lily, and their baby Aubrey. I was on the hunt for some good tamales since that is our traditional Christmas Eve meal and let me tell you it was quite a challenge in College Station. Johno recommended a place and it turned out to be quite respectable. It still couldn't beat tamales from Floresville or San Antonio but did make us feel a little more like we were at home. We had a full meal of tamales, chili, rice, queso and Christmas cookies and then set out our cookies for Santa before putting the kids to bed. Johno stayed the night and was such a trooper waking up at 6am with the kids to open Christmas presents.
