We were so excited to finally meet the newest addition to our family. Kenzie was born at 4:17 pm on Monday, December 6th. She weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and was 19 inches long (exactly like Katie)! We've spent the past two weeks spoiling her absolutely rotten and are thrilled to finally have her here.
Kyle is not all that impressed with her but I hear that is pretty routine for a 5 year old boy. Some days he says that she is so beautiful and other days he asks if we can get a new one because this one is fussy. He also wants to change her name. I told him when he becomes a daddy he can name his baby whatever he likes to which he replied, "But she's my baby too."
Katie, on the other hand, says, "I the momma." She is very protective of Kenzie and constantly asks to hold her if anyone else has her. We have to keep a close eye on her because she'll shower Kenzie with toys if we're not careful or try to pick her up and carry her in a choke hold across the house. You'll see a picture below where Katie had put a whole slew of bracelets on Kenzie and was trying to feed her pretend food from the play room.
