Mom and dad came up to visit us the weekend before Thanksgiving since I was still on bed rest and couldn't travel. I won't tell you how much weight I gained after that weekend but I will say that I practically ate an entire pound cake and two pumpkin pies. We had such a nice visit and I was sure to pay close attention to mom's turkey techniques and gravy/dressing recipes. Then Thanksgiving Day, Lily and Casey came over and we recreated the entire meal again. Talk about a week of wonderful food! David cooked a great turkey and my gravy came out just like mom's! I think we've had our fill of turkey for a while though...
