It had been such a busy summer and fall that I had not been able to make it to Goliad since May. With David's proposal defense looming, I thought it would be the best time to give him a quiet weekend for last minute cramming while taking the kids to visit my parents. We spent the entire weekend playing outside on the swing set and down at the tank. Kyle enjoyed having some quality male bonding time with Papa Cowley and Uncle Patrick and even got to ride in the back of the truck through the pasture by himself! Talk about being a big kid! Both kids practiced fishing at the tank and enjoyed it so much that the practicing continued in the house, on the porch, under the trees, and in the bird bath. Fortunately for the rest of us, there was no hook on the pole!
